Approval of Campus Primary Charter Renewal Contract

Discussion

Florida State Statutes dictate that the terms and conditions for the operation of a charter school shall be set forth by the Sponsor and the charter school in a written contractual agreement, called a charter.  The purpose of the agenda item is to request the approval of a renewal charter contract for Campus Primary Charter School, which expired on June 30, 2013..

Summary of Renewal Contract Negotiations with Campus Primary Charter School:

  • The Board approved the recommendation to renew the charter contract for Campus Charter School on June 11, 2013.
  • A letter granting the extension of the June 30, 2013 contract was granted to the School to complete contract negotiations.
  • Harold Bistline, School Board Attorney, was involved in the contract negotiations.
  • Pursuant to 1002.33(7)(b)(2)F.S., the term of the renewal charter is five (5) years based on their student achievement and financial stability.


Recommendation

Approve the renewal charter contract for Campus Primary Charter School.
