Job Description - Family Services Manager - Head Start
A Family Services Manager is necessary to adequately control and monitor the required Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) process to ensure the required Head Start funded enrollment of 624 students along with a waiting list is maintained at all times. The addition of the position for the Head Start program was recommended and supported by the Region VI Head Start Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team as part of the district's plan to guarantee enrollment of 624 for 2013-14. This manager will provide direct supervision for the Family Advocates while providing ERSEA oversight. The district has been cautioned by the TTA team that the lack of direct supervision of the ERSEA process could result in audit citations. This position is 100% funded by Head Start.
Recommend the approval and addition of the Family Services Manager position to the Head Start program.
