Field Trip - Endeavour Elementary - NOBCChE Conference - STEM Academic Bowl in Raleigh, NC
The Endeavour Elementary Science Bowl Academic Team consisting of approximately 4-5 students and three (3) chaperones is planning to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to attend The National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) 43rd Annual Conference and weekend STEM activities. The chaperones are current Brevard County Public School employees, one male and two females. The team will travel by plane. The conference will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center. The Conference hotel is the Raleigh Marriott City Center directly across the street and connected to the Convention Center by a skyway. Students will take public transportation or walk to destinations. The students will miss one day of school to attend the STEM weekend conference.
Specific funding will be determined after Board approval which could include partial funding through Endeavour Elementary's partnership with Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) located at Patrick Air Force Base. THERE WILL BE NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
Approve the request for the Endeavour Elementary Science Bowl Academic Team consisting of approximately 4-5 students and three (3) chaperones to attend the NOBCChE Conference weekend STEM activities November 11-13, 2016 in Raleigh, NC.
