Gold Medallion Award for Classrooms in Crisis
Brevard Public Schools won the National School Public Relations Association's (NSPRA) Gold Medallion Award in the Public Engagement/Parental Involvement category for Classrooms in Crisis. BPS' Classrooms in Crisis was one of only 7 projects nationwide to receive this honor. The award was presented to Christine Davis, Director of District Communications, at the NSPRA summer conference held in July. Entries came from public and private schools; vocational-technical schools beyond 12th grade; two-year community colleges; state/national education groups; and public relations agencies, consultants or private businesses serving such schools and colleges.
Since 1935, NSPRA has been providing school communication training and services to school leaders throughout the United States, Canada, and the U.S. Department of Defense Dependents Schools worldwide. NSPRA's mission is to advance education through responsible communication.
Recognize the Classrooms in Crisis Committee and District Communications for efforts resulting in the District receiving the Gold Medallion Award.
