Master Inservice Plan 2014-2015
Florida Statute 1012.98(4)(b)4 requires that the district's professional development system include a Master Inservice Plan (MIP) that is updated annually and approved to the Commissioner of Education by October 1, annually. All inservice activities must be based on the Master Inservice Plan and comply with State Board of Education Rule 6A-5.071, Master Inservice Plan requirements. Components in the MIP are reviewed and updated by district staff and the Professional Development Executive Committee. Each component is listed as a course in the learning management system. The district received a score of "4", the top rating, in our most recent Professional Development Protocol Review on Standard 3.1.3, Content: this indicates that training activities in our Professional Development System are focused on the content areas specified in 1012.98 F.S. The index of components and a copy of the inservice rules and procedures (Section 1 of the MIP) for Brevard County are attached.
Approve the Master Inservice Plan (MIP) for Brevard Public Schools for 2014-2015.
