Contracted Services Agreement with TeachTown, Inc. for Educational Software and Solutions

Discussion

TeachTown, Inc. provides educational software and solutions for children with special needs and Autism.  TeachTown addresses language learning, social skills, communication skills and emotional development.  The TeachTown, Inc. licenses will be used specifically for the four new High Needs Varying Exceptionality classrooms at Oak Park, Tropical, Roy Allen and Jupiter elementary schools.  However, there are components of the program such as TeachTown Social Skills that may be used school wide.

The Agreement provides for 40 student licenses, materials and four school-wide social skills licenses, Volumes 1 & 2.  In addition, two days of training on the use of Teach Town in classrooms and district-wide schools are provided.



Recommendation

Approve the purchase of forty (40) TeachTown license agreements and four school-wide licenses, and associated two-day training for twenty (20) people.
