Professional Development Workshop: Executive Functioning - Introduction to Assessment and Intervention
Executive Functioning - Introduction to Assessment and Intervention is an informative workshop for Occupational and Physical Therapists, Speech Pathologists, School Psychologists and classroom teachers working with students identified with Asperger's Syndrome, High Functioning Autism and non-verbal or Pervasive Development Disorders (NOS). The workshop will be held on September 10, 2012, Professional Development Day with 200-250 participants. Participants will be able to describe a multi-dimensional model of executive functions and their applicability to classroom production as well as list and describe interventions for mediating executive functioning difficulties through external control and improving executive functioning capacities through strategies for self-regulation. Strategies learned will compliment Differentiated Instruction methodologies.
The Contracted Services Agreement includes a speaker's fee of $2000 which averages to $10.00 per person and associated travel expenses (transportation, hotel, meals).
