Waive Facility Use Agreement Fees for My Community Cares at Gardendale
My Community Cares, Inc. (MCC) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, community service organization based in Cocoa, Florida. They seek to create an after-school mentoring program at Gardendale to address/enhance academic, social, physical and life skills among children in grades 1-11 at no cost to the children. The target population will be the students residing within the communities surrounding Gardendale, with an anticipated attendance of 75 children.
MCC has requested space for this program in Rooms 105 and 106 of Building 67 at Gardendale.
The annual cost to Brevard Public Schools will be $1,500 - $2000 for electricity, depending on the amount of use for the program.
The form of agreement between BPS and MCC will be a Facility Use Agreement with all fees and costs waived, renewable on an annual basis.
Authorize a Facility Use Agreement at no cost for the My Community Cares, Inc. after-school mentoring program in Rooms 105 and 106 of Building 67 at Gardendale, renewable on an annual basis at the School Board's option.
