Service Agreements for the Teaching American History Grant Program

Discussion

The Teaching American History (TAH) grant requires partnering with agencies who specialize in presenting seminars, colloquies, and field experiences about American history.  The TAH grant program will utilize the services of four professional organizations to deliver the American history themed professional development to participating teachers.

Two of the four agency partners are scheduled to deliver the first workshops in October and continue through the third year of the grant with onsite workshops and summer colloquia. The contracts include total costs for three years of service from The Florida Humanities Council (FHC-$27,000, $16,000, $27,000, $27,000 = $97,000) and Learners Online, Inc. (LO-$28,000, $20,125, $20,125 = $68,250)  Agency Agreements and BPS Contract for Service Agreements for each are attached.

The Teaching American History grant award was accepted at the July 14 Board meeting.



Recommendation
Approve the Service Agreements to conduct professional development activities for the TAH grant.
