09-08-2015 Regular Board Meeting
Agenda Item #15

Title
Employee Vision Benefit Renewal with Humana CompBenefits

Discussion

The District's contract for employee vision insurance with Humana CompBenefits expires on December 31, 2015.  Though the procurement of insurance under a Risk Management program does not require a formal solicitation, we would normally prefer to do so.  Willis has negotiated with our current vendor for a one-year contract extension at the current rates with the same service offerings; an RFP will be issued in the first quarter 2016 for open enrollment in 2016.

Recommendation

Approve a one-year extension of the District's vision benefit plan with Humana CompBenefits for 2016 at the current rates and same service offerings.
