Change Order #1 for 2013 Food Service Capital Projects for Apollo ES, McAuliffe ES, Roosevelt ES, West Shore Jr/Sr HS and Westside ES

Discussion

On 5/28/2013 the School Board approved Doug Wilson Enterprises, Inc. for the 2013 Food Service Capital Projects Bid at Apollo ES, McAuliffe ES, Roosevelt ES, West Shore Jr/Sr HS and Westside ES under their Continuing Service Contract for General Contractor Services.

During the course of this Work unforeseen concealed conditions were encountered and additional scope was requested by the District which has resulted in a Change Order totaling $13,002.65  (Apollo ES - $4,093.65, McAuliffe ES - $24.00, Roosevelt ES - $737.00, West Shore Jr/Sr HS - $2,560.00 and Westside ES - $5,588.00)  and an increase to their Contract Time of 41 days.

Adequate funding has been identified by Food Service in their FY2012-13 budget for this Change Order.

Recommendation
Approve Change Order 1 to Doug Wilson Enterprises under their Continuing Contract for General Contractor Services for the 2013 Food Service Capital Projects Bid totaling $13,002.65 (Apollo ES - $4,093.65, McAuliffe ES - $24.00, Roosevelt ES - $737.00, West Shore Jr/Sr HS - $2,560.00 and Westside ES - $5,588.00) increasing their Contract Amount from $101,281.59 to $114,284.24 with an increase to their Contract Time of 41 days.
