Title II, Part A Grant Award Acceptance
The primary goal of the Title II, Part A entitlement grant is to increase student academic achievement through strategies such as; improving teacher and principal quality, increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in the classroom, as well as highly qualified principals and assistant principals in schools. Teacher and principal training will align with the state content standards, which correlate with the district strategic imperatives designed to deliver scientifically based research programs in an effort to contribute to closing the achievement gap. The major activities include providing professional development opportunities for public and private school teachers and principals in all core academic areas and leadership to improve student achievement.
To accept the 2013-14 Title II, Part A district entitlement grant award.
