Field Trip for Satellite High School AF JROTC students to fly aboard USAF-HC-130
Educational objectives include: orientation to aeronautics, aviation equipment and careers, and airborne navigation. Students will transport themselves to Patrick AFB, FL for this trip. Students will receive a pre-flight briefing describing the nomenclature, history and mission of the HC-130 as well as safety procedures and equipment. Next, they board the aircraft for a 30 minute flight around the Melbourne/Cape Canaveral area. Students will have lunch at the Patrick Dining Hall. The entire trip is funded by the USAF and is at no cost to the District.
Approve the field trip for eighteen students to fly on USAF HC-130 aircraft at Patrick Airforce Base.
