Request for Emergency Purchase Order for Relocatable Classrooms for Riviera Elementary School
Mark Mullins, South Area Superintendent, has requested two (2) relocatable classrooms at Riviera Elementary School to relieve over-crowding.
Heard Construction, Inc. has submitted a proposal under their Continuing Contract for Design/Build Services to relocate two (2) surplus relocatable classrooms from Bayside High School to Riviera Elementary School for a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $83,792.15.
Funding has been provided from the General Fund for the proposed GMP, administration, permitting, testing, inspection, and contingency costs for a total project budget of $93,100.00.
Board approval is required for a Purchase Order over $25,000. In order to expedite the work, the Superintendent has approved the issuance of an Emergency Purchase Order pursuant to Florida Statute 1013.46(1)(b), declaring an emergency to relieve overcrowding of students.
