Cocoa High School - Guaranteed Maximum Price for Portable Classroom Installation
Student membership at Cocoa High School was projected at 1,353. At the six-day count, there were 1,462 enrolled students. This necessitated the hiring of additional teachers, requiring additional instructional space. There are currently six teachers rotating through different classrooms. The Central Area Superintendent has requested an additional portable classroom to be provided on campus.
Canaveral Construction Co. Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) under their Design Build Continuing Service Contract in the amount of $44,279.75 based upon Design Criteria developed by District Staff. The Total Project Budget including the GMP, Pre-Design Services, administration, permitting, inspections, and contingency costs is $49,179.25.
Adequate funding has been identified and budgeted in the FY2013-14 Capital funds for the GMP, Pre-Design Services, administration, permitting, inspections, and contingency costs for the Project.
Board Approval is required for a Purchase Order over $25,000. In order to expedite this work, approval is requested as a Consent Agenda item without previous information.

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Canaveral Construction Company Inc. under their Design Build Continuing Service Contract in the amount of $44,279.75 and the Total Project Budget of $49,179.25 for the Cocoa High School portable classroom installation.
