2015-2016 Multiagency Service Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET)
The purpose of this item is to recommend acceptance of the 2015-2016 Multiagency Service Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities(SEDNET)grant. The focus of this grant is to improve mental health services for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities in Brevard and Seminole counties. Funds are to be used to support endeavors in the area of mental health coordination with local agencies, trauma informed care training, substance abuse programs, parental involvement in student education, and program planning/problem solving for students that need mental health services. The SEDNET grant provides 1.50 FTE for project staff, as well as training and curriculum materials. A complete copy of the grant is available in the Office of Student Services.
Approve the acceptance of the 2015-2016 grant for SEDNET Multiagency Network and authorize the Superintendent's signature. The approximate amount of the grant will be $120,000.
