2012-2013 Carl D. Perkins Career & Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins IV) Grant Award
The Office of Career & Technical Education has received a grant award notification from the Florida Department of Education for federal funds from the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins IV). The purpose of Perkins IV is to improve career and technical education programs. Required use of funds includes strengthening the academic and career and technical skills of secondary students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs. The Florida Department of Education establishes Perkins IV state performance measures with identified local performance targets.

The agenda item to submit the grant application was board approved on April 10, 2012.
Accept the 2012-2013 Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins IV) grant award in the amount of $608,951.
