Harris is an international communications and information technology company serving government and commercial markets in more than 125 countries. Headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, the company has approximately $5.5 billion of annual revenue and about 15,000 employees - including 6,000 engineers and scientists. Harris is dedicated to developing best-in-class assured communications® products, systems, and services.

Their primary philanthropic platform is support for quality education, specifically in the area of STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math - as these disciplines are extremely important to the future of high tech companies.  Harris employees have given significant time and talent to promote STEM in the K through 12 educational system, volunteering almost 16,000 hours with the Brevard County Public Schools.  They foster the growth of technical educational initiatives through donations of cash and equipment, the involvement of Harris employees in mentoring students, and their sponsorship of teacher enrichment initiatives.

Their contribution is made through Community Foundation for Brevard, which serves as a leader, catalyst, and trusted resource for philanthropic individuals and organizations to expand, enhance, and sustain Brevard's quality of life.
