Edgewood Junior Senior High Field Trip to New York, NY
Edgewood Junior Senior High Band is requesting permission to perform and attend the Heritage Music Festival of Gold in New York, NY, May 25-28, 2016. Students will prepare and perform a concert for the Heritage National Music Festival in New York City, NY. Students will receive quality feedback on their prepared performance from nationally selected adjudicators. In addition, students will participate in a learning session where they will receive feedback from a clinician on skill, technique and musicianship. The adult chaperones are both male and female. One chaperone is a current Brevard School Board employee and all other are properly fingerprinted with the District. The team will travel by American Airlines and will be staying at the Marriott Meadowlands. Students will be transported in the city by Fabulous Coach Lines. Approximate cost for students and chaperones will be $1300. Students will have the opportunity to participate in multiple fundraisers throughout the school year. No student will be left behind due to inability to pay. There will be no cost to the District. No school days will be missed.
