Field Trip - Cocoa High School FIRST Robotics - FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri
The Cocoa High Robotics Team consisting of approximately 12-18 students and three (3) chaperones is planning to attend the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, MO April 22-26, 2015. The three adult chaperones are both male and female. One is a current Brevard Public Schools employee, one is an engineer mentor from NASA Launch Services who is properly fingerprinted with the district and one is an advanced level volunteer with BPS. The team will travel by plane and will be staying at a FIRST authorized hotel closest to the event. Students will either walk or take public transportation from the hotel to the Edward Jones Dome.
The trip will be funded by various fundraisers and business partners including NASA Launch Services, QuinetiQ Corporation and Brevard Public Schools. THERE WILL BE NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
Approve the request for the Cocoa High Robotics Team, approximately 12-18 students and three (3) chaperones, to attend the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri on April 22-26, 2015. The students will miss three (3) school days.
