Job Descriptions - HR Partners

The Human Resources Division restructured the work of the Employment Specialists as of July 1, 2014 in order to continue to improve service and efficiency to our schools and departments.  Based on research-based practices on human capital management gleaned from the district partnership with the Gates Foundation and FADSS (Florida Association of District School Superintendents) from the past two Empowering Effective Teaching convening's, three area service teams were established, with trained employment specialists to process both instructional and non-instructional staff in the North, Central, and South areas, using existing Human Resources staff members.  The attached job description proposals, Senior Human Resources Partner and Human Resources Partner, will add another dimension to the HR Service Teams, by providing leadership, guidance, and support for recruitments, certification, and retention of high quality staff members in our schools and departments at a combined savings of $10,348.  The Human Resources Partners will be assigned to the area teams and work with principals, department heads, and Area Office staff members to further assist with staffing needs.

In order to accomplish this task, the following positions will be added or deleted from the Human Resources Division's current position allocations in Departments 9400 and 9485:

-1      Certification Specialist I (9485)
-.5     Division Bookkeeper (currently vacant) (9400)
