Agenda Item #15
Recognition of District STEM Alliance Winners
The STEM Alliance is a partnership between public schools and the private sector working together to celebrate the success of science and mathematics in our schools for teachers as well as students. The STEM Alliance Scholar Program recognizes student scholars from participating school districts throughout Central Florida who participate and excel in challenging science and math classes, clubs and competitions throughout their middle and high school years.
The eighteen 2015 district winners were selected from among the school winners. The selection was based on a blind application review process and supporting evidence provided by each student or school. These students will receive an award tonight, presented by a STEM Alliance Board representative.
Exemplary Math and Science teachers' selection committees named the four teachers to receive STEM Alliance yearly awards.
To acknowledge the district STEM Alliance Math and Science Scholar winners and the STEM Alliance Exemplary Math and Science teachers.
