Harbor City Elementary School Staff Development Training by Dr. Martha H. Hopkins
As a required expenditure of the NCLB Act, Harbor City Elementary School must spend 10 percent of its budgeted Title 1 funds on staff development in the area where they did not make AYP (Math/Students with disabilities). Dr. Hopkins will conduct two full-day workshops at a cost of $1100.00 for each day. On February 16, 2009, she will conduct two half-day workshops, one for primary grades (K-2) and the other for intermediate grades (3-6). On April 17, 2009, Dr. Hopkins will return to provide follow-up training to Harbor City's staff. She will meet with each grade level team to discuss the effectiveness of the activities and strategies taught on February 16th, as well as provide any additional support that may be needed.
