11-19-2013 Organization of the Board with Oath and Regular School Board Meeting
Agenda Item #62

Title
Storage for U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation and Museum at South Lake Education Center

Discussion

The U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation and Museum has requested storage space in Rooms 046, 047 and part of Room 131 (Cafeteria) at South Lake Education Center for display maps and models of the space program.  This organization does not charge admission to the Museum and can be classified as a public service organization.

The North Area Adult Education program, which will be relocating from Whispering Hills to South Lake in January, will not require the spaces requested in the foreseeable future.

There will be no costs to Brevard Public Schools for the use of this space by the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation and Museum.

The form of agreement between Brevard Public Schools and the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation and Museum would be a Facility Use Agreement with all fees waived, renewable on an annual basis at the School Board's option.
