Agenda Item #61
Brevard Schools Foundation School Supply Store at Clearlake Education Center
The Brevard Schools Foundation has requested the use of space in Building 9 (previously the Media Center) at Clearlake Education Center to establish a School Supply Store, where teachers can obtain free (donated) supplies for their classrooms and students.
The west half of Building 9 was occupied by Technical Support Services (ET's equipment repair department) during the Clearlake closing / Cocoa HS conversion project, with the remaining space designated as storage. The cost for the improvements necessary to convert the remaining space into a School Supply Store have been estimated at $65,000 - $70,000.
Adequate funds for this project are available in the FY2013-14 Capital Renewal - Misc. Projects/Contingency budget.
