MISSION: TO SERVE EVERY STUDENT WITH EXCELLENCE AS THE STANDARD
Agenda Item #35
F-23. Non-Bargaining Salary Plan Effective July 1, 2007
Continuation of existing non-bargaining/senior staff salary administration procedures changing all references dated June 30, 2006 to read June 30, 2007. Most supplements, including advanced degree; administrative days; high percentage of free and reduced lunch school population; salary freezing for "unsatisfactory" or "needs improvement" performance; paid holidays; and vacation accrual are among the procedures to be continued.
Pay for Performance for school-based administrators also will continue subject to the outcome of the current MAP impasse process.
The salary schedule approved on June 14, 2005 will be used.
Allocate a budget of 4.5 percent of the June 30, 2007 non-bargaining and senior staff payroll for non-bargaining salary adjustments and annual increases.
Salary adjustments are calculated on employees' salaries as of June 30, 2007 with an effective date of July 1, 2007.
Continue the practice of established minimum acceptable levels of base salaries for principals. For 2007-2008, these are recommended to be $76,500 for elementary school principals, $81,600 for middle school principals, and $89,760 for senior high school principals effective July 1, 2007. These minimums are for a full contract year of service; salaries for contracts for less than a full year of service will be prorated.
Continue the practice of established minimum acceptable levels of base salaries for 2007-2008 for ten-month assistant principals at the following levels: elementary assistant principals' minimum at $47,510; middle school assistant principals at $49,297; and senior high school assistant principals at $51,744.
Budget $15,000 for the non-bargaining employees' tuition reimbursement program.
The Superintendent recommends the approval of this Non-Bargaining Salary Administration Plan for the non-bargaining employees of the district.
