F-22. Consultant Agreement with CivaTerra, Inc.
The Interlocal Agreement for Public School Facility Planning and Concurrency recently approved by the School Board requires an annual update of the five-year student enrollment projections based on input from the local governments. The initial projections were developed by our Growth Management consultants - a team led by Kimley-Horn, Inc. CivaTerra was the team member responsible for the geo-coding, data-gathering and data-analysis portions of the projection process. Since these are the only portions of the update that can not be performed by District staff, CivaTerra is being retained to perform those functions.
In recent meetings with the local governments, District staff has discussed having each local government share in the cost of Civa-Terra's fee on a pro-rata basis.
Approve the Contracted Services Agreement between the School Board of Brevard County, Florida and CivaTerra, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $14,700.00 to provide the professional consulting services necessary to assist District staff in updating the student enrollment projections for School Concurrency requirements.
