Title
H-2. Grant Submisssion for State Funding Title II, part D - Enhancing Education Through Technology

Discussion

Brevard Public Schools will target all 4-6th grade elementary school students in the “Leveraging Laptops through the Florida Digital Educator Program.”  This initiative will help ensure effective integration of innovative learning tools and project-based learning activities in K-12 curricula. A priority of the initiative will be to increase student technology literacy evaluation. Encouraging strategy development and preliminary planning necessary to implement technology-facilitated assessments is also an important purpose of this initiative. The Florida Digital Educator Program is a statewide impact effort dedicated to authentic instruction, rigorous integration of technology, and 21st century skill development. This project will expand teacher and administrator program involvement to schools by providing intensive professional development intervention, follow-up mentoring, and “Action Research” activities.  Funding recieved from the grant will fund classroom resources and professional development activities.

This grant does not require matching funds and there will not be any full/part time instructional or paraprofessional positions created with this program.
