Involuntary Termination of Instructional Employee, James B. Wilkins
James B. Wilkins is an instructional employee of the District and was assigned to Heritage High School as a band teacher and band director under a professional service contract. The Superintendent has charged Mr. Wilkins with misconduct in office and conduct unbecoming an instructional employee as set forth in the Superintendent’s November 6, 2012, letter attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
1. Terminate the employment of teacher, James B. Wilkins, and cancel his professional service contract effective November 20, 2012.
2. Mr. Wilkins has made a timely request for an administrative hearing. Authorize the School Board Attorney to transmit the hearing request to the Division of Administrative Hearings for further proceedings.
3. Authorize the Superintendent to retain services of counsel for the hearing process.
