Involuntary Termination of Employee, Emily M. Randall

Discussion
Emily M. Randall is an employee of the District and is employed as  a school psychologist under a professional service contract. The Superintendent has changed Ms. Randall with being willfully absent without leave, gross insubordination and willful neglect of duty and misconduct in office as set forth in the Superintendent's December 9, 2014 letter attached hereto as Exhibit "A."

Recommendation

Terminate the employment of school psychologist, Emily M. Randall, and cancel her Professional Service Contract effective December 16, 2014.

In the event Ms. Randall makes a timely request for a hearing, authorize the School Board Attorney to transmit the hearing request to the Division of Administrative Hearings for further proceedings.

Authorize the Superintendent to retain services of counsel for the hearing process if requested.
